The US digital leaders Starlink and OpenAI have both leased their first office spaces in India through the coworking provider CorporateEdge, choosing managed coworking offices in New Delhi as they establish an on-ground presence in the country.
Starlink, the satellite broadband company owned by SpaceX, has taken a 50-seater managed office at the World Trade Centre (WTC) in Nauroji Nagar. The space marks Starlink’s first physical workplace in India as it prepares to begin local operations. The WTC complex is emerging as a base for global technology firms.
OpenAI, the artificial intelligence company behind ChatGPT, has similarly launched its first India office by leasing a 50-seater workspace as well, through Corporate Edge. The company opted for a managed office format rather than a conventional lease for its initial setup.
Corporate Edge operates a network of premium flexible and managed offices across major Indian cities and caters largely to multinational and enterprise clients. The company manages and has contracted close to 60.000 m2 of workspace and has also begun expanding internationally.
