Cubby, the AI-powered software company modernizing self-storage operations, has raised $63 million in a Series A round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives — and its journey began in a coworking space. Founded in 2021 by three entrepreneurs, Cubby started with a small, focused team of fewer than 10 people working out of Campus X, Sofia’s leading coworking and startup hub.

Today, the company employs more than 80 people across multiple markets, serving hundreds of storage operators. From its early days in Campus X — known for housing fast-scaling startups and providing operational support — Cubby grew by working alongside other founders, product teams, and operators in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

The team developed an AI-native platform tailored to the self-storage industry’s needs, helping operators optimize revenue, automate customer service, and modernize day-to-day operations. With the new funding, Cubby plans to accelerate growth, hire additional talent, and expand its product roadmap — all while staying focused on enabling storage operators to run more efficient, tech-enabled businesses.
