Spanish industrial group Finsa (Financiera Maderera S.A.) has established part of its Valencia team within the coworking facilities of Wayco, one of the main flexible workspace operators in the city. The collaboration illustrates how established industrial companies are increasingly using coworking spaces as local operational hubs.
In an interview shared by Wayco, a Finsa’s team member explains that the company chose the coworking environment as a practical workspace solution for its local presence. He notes that the space allows the team to work from a professional office without managing their own premises, while benefiting from meeting rooms, shared facilities and the wider professional community hosted at Wayco. According to him, the environment also supports collaboration and provides a convenient base in the city for meetings and day-to-day work.
Finsa is a Spanish family-owned multinational headquartered in Santiago de Compostela and founded in 1931. The company specializes in the industrial transformation of wood, producing wood panels, decorative surfaces, furniture components and flooring materials used in the construction and furniture industries. Today the group employs around 3,300 people worldwide and reported revenues of approximately €1.4 billion in recent years.
The number of employees from Finsa working from Wayco in Valencia has not been publicly detailed, but the space serves as a local base for part of the company’s activities in the region.
Wayco is a coworking operator founded in 2013 in Valencia. The company runs four coworking locations across the city – Abastos, Cabanyal, Ruzafa and Pizarro – offering flexible desks, private offices, meeting rooms and event spaces. Together these sites provide roughly 8,450 square metres of workspace designed for companies, freelancers and teams seeking flexible office solutions.
The presence of companies such as Finsa highlights how coworking spaces are increasingly used by established corporations alongside startups and freelancers, providing flexible workspace infrastructure while maintaining a professional office environment.
