The Global construction and project management firm Turner International has signed a major managed office deal with WeWork India, leasing 4,270 square meters of workspace (46,000 square feet) at the WeWork Gigaplex location in Airoli, Mumbai. The space will accommodate over 650 employees, marking a significant expansion from the company’s original 16-seat office with WeWork in 2022.
The deal reflects the rising popularity ofmanaged office solutions – customized, fully serviced workspaces that combine the flexibility of coworking with the infrastructure of traditional offices. Designed to match Turner’s global workplace standards, the new location includes height-adjustable workstations, open collaboration zones, and meeting rooms tailored for both teamwork and focused tasks.
From the occupier’s perspective, the appeal lies in agility. Turner can scale operations without the constraints of long-term leases, while benefiting from WeWork’s support in workspace management, design, and amenities. “This is more than just a workspace,” said Turner India COO Jairam Panch, citing the move as part of the company’s broader investment in India.
WeWork India currently operates over 7.5 million sq ft (700.000 sqm) of space across eight cities, with a growing enterprise client base.
The Turner deal illustrates how flexible, branded managed offices are becoming a core part of corporate real estate strategy, especially in markets where talent acquisition, cost control, and speed to scale are critical.
Turner is a North American-based, international construction services company and a leading builder in diverse market segments. With over 15,000 employees, the company completes more than US$20 billion worth of construction on thousands of projects annually, according the company’s website.
