Anthropic Grows Global Presence Through Coworking Spaces Across Europe and Asia

Anthropic, the AI research company behind the Claude family of models, is expanding its international presence by opening new offices in key cities — many of them housed in coworking and flexible office spaces.

In 2025, Anthropic employed more than 1.500 people globally and has been scaling its operations beyond the United States with new regional teams. To support this growth, the company has embraced a distributed real estate strategy that includes coworking environments across Europe and Asia.

In cities such as Paris, Munich, Zurich, and London, Anthropic teams are working from coworking locations. The coworking operators  Kwerk in France, Munich Urban Lab in Germany, and Halkin in the UK, are mentioned, without clear confirmation. Coworking spaces allow Anthropic to establish operational hubs quickly without committing to long-term leases.

The company is also reported to be using coworking locations in India, particularly in cities where it does not yet have a fixed office footprint. This approach enables the company to support local hiring and operations while maintaining adaptability as its team grows.

Coworking spaces are primarily used by Anthropic for business development, policy, and partnership teams in newly launched markets, allowing them to begin in-market operations immediately. The setup also facilitates collaboration with regional partners and clients without the administrative overhead of traditional offices.
